  • 1977 - Bill Cutler forms Energy Limiting Systems and creates the very first Niagara brand showerhead in his garage. The water-saving performance is quickly embraced by utility companies and municipalities.
  • 1994 - A water-saving toilet is developed and 1.3 million toilets are replaced with Niagara model in New York City cutting water consumption in half. 
  • 2001 - An advanced toilet tank is developed eliminating the traditional flapper and cutting gallons per flush again.
  • 2008 - Niagara is the original equipment manufacturer for some models in the Glacier Bay house brand at Home Depot. The "N" prefix on Glacier Bay model numbers stands for Niagara.
